This creature amazingly resembles a mythical dragon. Adult gliding lizards, this particular one being Draco Volans, belonging to the genus Draco. The genius contains more than 45 species, ranges in size from 2-6 inches in length and are native to Southeast Asia. The creatures can spread out folds of skin attached to its ribs to form “wings” that it uses to glide from tree to tree in a distance of up to 25 feet. It is only capable of gliding, however, not flying. Its wings are brightly colored with orange, red and blue spots and stripes, but its wings are camouflaged when folded to its sides.
